SOME DOS AND DON'TS ABOUT ACNE

Hi friends.Last time we had seen all about acne treatment . Now in this article we will see some dos and don'ts for the Same. All those things which should be done and which,should not be, to clean up zits are here now. So let's start.

1)Never sleep late at nights. Never wake up late at morning. And don't skip your breakfast. I had already explained these things in detail at my previous post. There i mentioned that how these things disturb your body clock and then digestive system and hence are responsible for popping up. So if you haven't read yet then take a look on my previous post.

2)Don't eat too much oily spicy food and also fast food. These things increases body heat releasing more oil on skin and causes acne breakouts. So eat healthy always to nourish your skin internally. Because it is not all that medicines can only do. Skin is a largest organ of body and just like other organs this also needs all healthy diet to look healthy and not only external applications can make it beautiful.

3) Now when we come to external applications then very much used application is sunscreen lotions. Don't use sunscreen lotions  on acne prone skin. Well I am not going  that deep to talk about if sunscreens can cause cancer or can prohibit it. Today my topic is about acne and I will concentrate on that only. So let's see why not sunscreen!!!First we should know what is sunscreen. This contains some components which stops light rays from entering in skin and causing damage. But for this purpose our body has melanocytes in skin layer which releases melanin to absorb harmful u v rays. So if you have Asian type of skin which is not milky white but is wheatish brown or little darker then your skin has enough melanin to protect you. But the problem is more exposure to sun releases more melanin making skin tanned black or brown. So to avoid more melanin production we should avoid more sun exposure. For this purpose it's good to avoid sun time to go outside. But if it is not possible then you can use affordable, portable shelter that is umbrella!! Or just cover yourself with cloth. Use any soft, cotton cloth, scarf, dupatta or anything. Many options are available in market.
Some may think that it is very outdated! I have some reasons to back up my suggestions. First thing is soft, light coloured scarf is always better to support your skin from harmful rays. Because softness will not cause irritation to your breakouts. Cotton is always a choice to absorb excessive sweating and oil. If one is using light coloured cloth then it will stop excessive light rays from entering your skin as light colours like white colour are well known to reflect back light rays. But this will allow bit of nonharmful rays to enter  inside your skin which is very important to produce vit D. Vit D can be produced in our body only. So if we block inch and inch of body with sunblock or sunscreen then we can suffer with Vit D difficiency. So don't expose to sun but should get somewhat light rays. I will mention here one research. From 1950 sunscreen became very popular in Australia. But the research shows that since then the excessive use of sunscreen though stopping melanin production still the rate of melanoma formation went up instead down. Well this is an example only to show how sunscreen all the time is not good. Now let's back to acne. What happens when sunscreens or sunblocks are applied to acneprone skin? Sunscreens may contain some products which are actually oils like coconut oil or may contain products which can clog pores. Acne prone skin is already tend to become oily and this layer of sunscreen then gets mixed with oil and sweat on skin forming thick, sticky layer on it. Then some dirt or dust particles get mixed with that layer and this mixture clog pores very badly to cause popping out. Sometimes allopathic medicines like ADAPALENE  makes skin so irritated and dry that it  can burn easily with little sun exposure. So if this is the cause then only I will suggest to use sunscreen but that sunscreen should contain only ZINC OXIDE OR TITANIUM DIOXIDE OR SOMETIMES  COMBINATION OF BOTH. But here is the plus point of AYURVEDA. In ayurvedic treatment we never burn pimples from outside or locally but we rule out it's route cause and treat that cause first. I had already posted all ayurvedic basic treatments in detail  with their causes. So if you haven't read yet then go for my previous post. There are treatments which not kill pimples making skin weak but makes skin so stronger to kill pimple itself. So switch to ayurvedic treatments.

4)Cleansing and toning are must do skin routines. One can use well known cleanser toners suitable for your skin. I will suggest the best toner is honey. If you have oily or combination to oily skin then take half tsp honey and two tsp fresh cucumber juice. Mix them and rub on your skin gently in circular motions for two to five minutes and then wipe it with wet cotton swab and then wash face with water. Follow this at night and also at morning. When cucumber juice is not available then you can use fresh tomato juice. If you have little dry skin;then instead of cucumber juice add milk to honey and do the same. This will clear your pores deeply and will also tone up and nourish skin.

5)If there is any campaign against use of face wash then I will be the leader of that. Because I am strictly  against use of face wash specially on acne prone skin. Face wash are too soft to wipe out oil from face. One should use odorless, colourless but little stronger soap to oily skin. Or instead just use wheat flour to wash it.

6)Always apply any water based face cream to your skin just after washing it with soap or anything else. Here cream is not to make you fairer or brighter. Why I am suggesting it is to cover up all opened pores. Again to Cover  and to block are two different terms. We are only covering pores with cream so that no dirt or dust particles can enter within deeply to block pores. I am not doing endorsement for any product or brand but Olay day care creams are rather safe as are nongreasy and waterbased. Other claims by brand are none of my subject.

7)Use scrubs to your skin twice a week. Oily and combination to oily skin types are with much dead cells and dirt particles on it, making it dull. Even body always remove dead cells and regenerate new ones but if you scrub out skin gently then skin will get polished and will look  more glowing. I had suggested few scrubs according to different skin types in my previous post. But still if you use rather coarsely grinder wheat  flour  or only husk of wheat to do scrub then it will help a lot. Many people use gram flour on skin. But what I found is gram flour works better on tight fair skinned people. And on wheatish Brown  Asian types of skin it causes little bit darkening with over dryness. But opposite to that wheat flour has little bit smoother, softer texture. It has micronutrients too which nourish skin avoiding over dryness. Just grind it little coarse and it will work as better scrub than any other branded one.

8)Don't try anything on your face on the advice of anybody except expert doctor. Tell me one thing does anyone ask to hair dresser how to stitch dress? or ever ask dress designer to cut your hair? Then when it  comes to health issues why did you take an opinion of anybody coming across you? For example turmeric powder!! Well it is best detoxifying agent but when it will be taken internally. Also works as best antiseptic at open wound. But wounds have very different pathogenesis than acne. When turmeric is applied on acne prone skin,  it make them more swollen and causes more breakouts. So whatever you are going to apply on skin should be after an expert opinion.

9)Don't touch your pimples again and again. Millions of bacteria and other micro organisms present at our fingertips. When we touch face all that time we are placing bacteria on pimple. So it's not a good habit. Also never squeeze to pimple. It spreads infection.

10)Never sleep at night without removing all make up or without washing face. Actually it is important to wash face at least four to five times a day to keep skin clean and infection free or oil free but at night time it is must to remove all dirt or make up from skin. Night time or instead sleeping time is a skin repairing time of body as other vital organs are at little rest when you sleep. So the blood supply moves peripherally. Again after washing face at night, apply the same water based cream or any nongreasy nigh cream. This will cover pores to avoid dirt entry as well as will not allow water evaporation from skin keeping it quite hydrated and soft. The rule is same for this too that cream should be noncomodogenic.

11)Always do somewhat exercise. I will suggest simply deep breathing exercises. These provide more oxygen to skin giving it such a freshness that no cosmetic can give. But conditions are, get proper training for exercise and maintain consistency for it.

So friends these are all eleven very very important skin schedules to keep skin acne free and healthy. Not a single point you can skip if want perfect skin. And the most important is try to live happily and stressfree. Your skin is mirror to your emotions. It will look beautiful glowing when you glad and looks pale, dull when you sad!!
